It looks like being a busy summer for various French international teams. First up this month an U20 side managed by legend Willy Sagnol will compete in the famous Toulon Youth Festival. Hosted in the south of France, this is a great tournament for sides to show off their talented youngsters, with plenty of scouts always on hand to look for the next big thing.

France’s competition starts against the USA on May 28th, followed by fixtures against DR Congo, South Korea and Colombia. The top two from the group along with the top two in Group B will go on to the semi-finals and then the final on June 8th.

It should be an exciting tournament and France have a history of doing fairly well. Les Bleus have reached the final in six of the last ten tournaments, their last victory coming in 2007. Sagnol has picked a talented 21-man squad with seven members of the team featuring in this year’s Le50.
