Competition time: Win a Premier League shirt…with a Ligue 1 twist

September 28, 2012 3:26 pm

With his account-opening goal against Coventry in the midweek cup game for Arsenal, we’re hopefully that FFW favourite Olivier Giroud is finally finding his feet at the Emirates after a somewhat nervy start.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was full of praise for his new(ish) signing, despite also seeing his penalty saved in the second half:

“It was in everyone’s mind that the sooner he gets it the better, it was certainly more in his mind even more than in our minds.”

To celebrate his first goal for Arsenal we are teaming up with Gala Casino to offer a fantastic prize – an Arsenal 2012-13 Home Shirt with Giroud-12 proudly emblazoned on the back.

Here at French Football Weekly we love seeing stars of Ligue 1 move across the channel and light up the Premier League so we thought we would celebrate some of the other top players that have made the jump.

If Arsenal is not your team of choice the winner of the competition will have a few other shirts to choose from. We have one shirt to give away from the following selection:

Arsenal 2012-13 Home Shirt “Giroud – 12”
Newcastle United 2012-13 Home Shirt “Cabaye – 4”
Manchester City 2012-13 Home Shirt “Nasri – 8”
Newcastle United 2012-13 Home Shirt “Ben Arfa – 10”
Chelsea 2012-13 Home Shirt “Hazard – 17”

Gala are promoting their new Football Rules slots game, an action-packed football simulator that’s almost as good as the real thing and they want to show their love for Olivier and the Premier League by offering this prize to one lucky reader.

We also have two runners-up prizes to be won, more on them later.

All you have to do is answer the following question:

How many goals will be scored during Week 8 of the Ligue 1 season?

(Games to be played on weekend commencing Friday October 5th)

The tiebreak question – In what minute will the final goal be scored during Marseille v Paris-Saint Germain on the Sunday night?

Fill in the below form. Entries close on Friday 5th October at 19:00 UK time.
