According to France Football, Lille’s Eden Hazard has chosen to join Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window. The subject of much speculation over the past few years, it seems that the sought-after Belgian playmaker may be one step closer to making a decision as to which club he will join during the next transfer window.
Over the years, several clubs in Spain and England have stated their interest in the player, who has made over 100 league appearances in a Lille shirt. Recently, Manchester United, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea have all drawn media speculation in being linked with Hazard. The player himself has also stated his preference for a move to England in summer. This effectively ruled Paris Saint-Germain out fo the running.
Even though Hazard has yet to release any quotes to support France Football’s claims, it looks ever more likely that the player will leave France this summer. It is unlikely the player will come cheap, however. In spite of his apparent eagerness to move on to pastures new, it is highly unlikely the player will kick up a fuss if haggling over a price drags on. With Hazard being one of Europe’s top-rated young players, he wont come cheap and chasing clubs will realise this when submitting their bids.
