Eden Hazard wants English move

Eden Hazard was a guest on Canal+ last night and revealed some information which will excite fans from the top English clubs.  After revealing that he would remain with Lille until the end of the season, he was asked which country he would like to move to in summer.  “England” came the reply.

“I want to play for a big club but also one where I will play every week.

I’ve played more than 100 games in Ligue 1 so I would prefer to go abroad.  I want to discover something new and playing abroad is a conscious decision.”

This effectively rules Hazard out of the running to sign for Paris Saint-Germain, who have reportedly been interested in the player.  However, clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, who have recently been linked with the player, may decide to make their move in summer.  Rest assured, he will not come cheap.

Marseille have confirmed that they have accepted a bid from Portuguese giants FC Porto for midfielder Lucho Gonzalez.  Lucho now looks certain to move back to the Estádio do Dragão.  The player moved from Porto to Marseille for €18m in the summer of 2009, going on to make over 100 appearances for the club.  Marseille president Vincent Labrune confirmed to RMC last night that the club will receive €2m in exchange.  When asked if a replacement is likely to be signed before tomorrow’s deadline:

“We’ve had his replacement in the squad for the past eight months, it’s Morgan Amalfitano”

More transfer news as QPR look set to add France international Djibril Cissé to their ranks.  The Lazio striker has been subject of a £4m bid from QPR and could complete his move later tonight.

QPR also welcomed Nancy midfielder Samba Diakité on loan until the end of the season.  The Premier League side hold an option to buy should the loan spell prove successful.
