Episode 31 – PSG = Genuine Title Contenders

Greetings from New York City!

Hey everyone, Andrew here and even though I’m on holiday I have been called into action to edit together this week’s podcast. Which I must say is a cracker. Jonathan takes in the top of the table clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon. Throughout the podcast you will hear the sounds of the Parc des Princes and the raucous atmosphere that complimented an excellent game.

After the game Jon was delighted to be joined on the podcast with Stuart Telford from Eurosport and Tom Williams from AFP. Stuart and Jon discuss the atmosphere during the game and Stuart’s impressions of Ligue 1 as a whole and what players and teams have impressed him.

Then Tom and Jon discuss the game in a bit more depth, the impact and importance of Javier Pastore. They look at how the other new signings at PSG have settled in. In what is a Paris heavy pod the guys then discuss the start of this season’s campaign and the teams that have impressed and disappointed.

Talking of disappointments Tom gives his thoughts on the situation at Marseille and looks at Didier Deschamps future if this poor run continues. Last on the agenda is the success of Christian Gourcuff and his Lorient side, and how even on a small budget they continue to play attractive and effective football.

It is a podcast that I enjoyed putting together and well done to Jon on his first ever solo performance.

Hope you guys enjoy it.
